Cabin Fever Workout
So this can be done with a partner or the kids…make the warm up fun, maybe a dance off or copy cat moves mess around, just to feel a little warm. You could add some stretches too.
Reps as many as you can do safely with good form. Make it a competition with your partner to see who can do the most but mainly, have fun! Enjoy!
Bouncing Off The Walls
While we are all stuck indoors self-isolating, the risk of going stir crazy is high but this hopefully will give you a few ideas to let off some steam and have a good bit of family/partner exercise.
When trying any of these workout videos look out for your own safety and those you are exercising with. Make sure you are in good health to take part in the activities and don’t over strain yourself.
Stir Crazy & Climbing The Walls
Check out this fun workout that you can do with your family or partner while in self-isolation. Make sure you have enough space, are warmed up and do not lift anyone too heavy! Most of all, enjoy moving
You Don’t Have To Go Out To Work Out!
This is a workout you can do without a partner.
You don’t have to do every activity and there are options to make it both easier and harder.
Most of all you need little to no equipment so it can be done at home and challenge yourself within your comfort zone. Enjoy!
P.S Check out the stamina of our cockapoo at the end!
Disclaimer:
*We are not claiming it’s the ULTIMATE HOME WORKOUT, but it is packed with some great ideas to keep you moving well, give you some fitness areas to focus on and relieve some of the staleness of isolating.
Do think twice about what equipment you use, the quality of the bag, fixings/ stability on any point you may hinge from and always opt for the safest option in the most space you have!
Focus on good form, start with the easiest version of the exercise, stay hydrated, rest when you need it and build your fitness with slow and consistent efforts. Mobilise and stretch at beginning and hold stretches a little longer at the end of your workout.
Challenge yourself with reps and sets that leave you feeling like you have made an effort and the last rep meant it felt like that was enough of a challenge for that session. Keep a diary so you can have a target to beat on your next week of exercise.
Stay safe, well and fit as you can at home!
