- Demonstrate use of Shuto Mawashi Uke against Jodan Tsuki.
- Kokotsu Dachi – Back Leaning Stance : Stand with feet one fist apart. As a guide, measure two feet length forward (i.e. heel to toe twice) bend both knees and place 60% of your weight on the back leg and 40% on the front leg. The front heel is lifted one fist off the floor with the hips rotated at a 45 degree angle. The spine/back is kept straight with the head in line with the heel of the back foot.
